Dr. Raj Bhayani, MD

Dr. Raj Bhayani is a distinguished otolaryngologist (ENT), head and neck surgeon, facial plastic surgeon, entrepreneur, and community leader based in New York. With a career spanning more than three decades, he has earned recognition for excellence in medicine, research, healthcare leadership, and public service. He is the Founder and Director of the New York Institute of Otolaryngology & Aesthetic Surgery, where he specializes in advanced ENT care, minimally invasive sinus surgery, facial plastic surgery, pediatric ENT, and sleep disorders.

Born and raised in India, Dr. Bhayani graduated from B. J. Medical College and completed his postgraduate training in ENT surgery, followed by advanced training in neurosurgery at KEM Hospital, Mumbai. He later moved to the United States, where he completed his Otolaryngology residency at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and advanced fellowship training in Facial Plastic and Microvascular Surgery.

Throughout his distinguished medical career, Dr. Bhayani has authored and presented more than 50 scientific papers at national and international conferences. His research has received prestigious recognition, including the Triological Society Award, and his contributions have been acknowledged through inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who in America in Medicine and Healthcare.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Bhayani is widely respected for his leadership within the Indian American community. He serves on the Board of Directors of the National Alliance of Indian Organizations (NAIO), an organization dedicated to bringing together Americans of Indian origin on one unified platform to promote civic engagement, advocacy, leadership, and stronger India–United States relations. He has also held leadership positions in numerous physician and community organizations and has been actively involved in charitable, educational, and public service initiatives.

An accomplished entrepreneur, Dr. Bhayani has interests in healthcare, hospitality, and real estate. His commitment to service has earned him numerous honors, including the United States Congressional Achievement Award for dedicated community service and recognition as one of the most influential leaders in the Indian American community.

Dr. Bhayani believes that professional success carries a responsibility to serve society. Guided by Mahatma Gandhi’s principle, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others,” he continues to dedicate his efforts to improving healthcare, mentoring future leaders, strengthening the Indian American community, and advancing initiatives that promote unity, civic participation, and public service.
